One of a series of manuals produced by the POSOW (Preparedness for Oil-Polluted Shoreline cleanup and Oiled Wildlife interventions) project, the Oiled Wildlife Response Manual was developed by Sea Alarm, the Centre Vétérinaire de la Faune Sauvage et des Écosystèmes (CVFSE) and WWF Finland.

This manual is designed to give responders with little or no previous oiled wildlife experience an understanding of the basic principles of oiled wildlife response and to guide them through initial stabilisation and first aid procedures which can be performed before experienced responders arrive on scene.
