New Train the Trainer Course Strengthens EUROWA Training Capacity
| On 7 and 8 September, the EUROWA Network delivered its new Train the Trainer course online, bringing together 16 participants from 12 European countries. The course welcomed both experienced trainers and those looking to develop their training skills, creating a valuable opportunity for learning and exchange across the network.
Developed under the EUROWILD project, funded through the EU Erasmus+ Programme, the course focused on strengthening the competencies needed to deliver high-quality training. Participants explored topics including adult learning techniques, communication skills, training delivery methods, and assessment and evaluation approaches. The programme also featured a range of practical exercises, discussions, and real-world examples, encouraging participants to share experiences and learn from one another. The course was developed collaboratively by EUROWA partners SUBMON, Sea Alarm, and technical expert Richard Thompson. It has now been incorporated into the EUROWA training curriculum and will be available to current and future EUROWA trainers to further enhance training capacity across the network. By investing in trainer development, EUROWA continues to strengthen preparedness and build the expertise needed to support effective oiled wildlife response throughout Europe. |
